Mainteinance and Grooming of the Bichon Frise
Maintaining the fur doesn? cause much trouble even though you might have thought otherwise. The Bichon doesn? have shedding periods.
Its fur seems to clean by itself therefor, after a walk through the woods or in the park, it is enough to brush the fur properly (2-3 times a week) and also it should be bathed monthly with a special shampoo.
While bathing, you must put pads in the dog? ears to keep the water away. Then you must use the foehn at medium intensity, being very careful not to damage or burn the fur.
After bathing, the ears must be carefully cleaned to eliminate the bacteria and the wax. We also recommend clipping the nails.
Food for the Bichon Frise
It mainly consists of dried croquets which differ by age and weight of the dog. We recommend food without preservatives and rich in proteins. The water must always be fresh.
You must avoid feeding the Bichon with bones, especially not chiken bones which could damage its intestines.
